Clemens Weigel

Clemens Weigel got his first cello lessons when he was only six years old. As a young-student he was accepted at the conservatory of Trossingen with Prof. Gerhard Hamann in 1983.
In 1987, he started his studies at the academy of Music in Vienna and got his final degree with distinction with Prof. Walther Nothas. He completed his studies with the diploma of the masterclass of Prof. Nothas in 1994. In addition, he took also part in various other master classes, e.g. with Heinrich Schiff.

For three years Clemens Weigel was member of the youth orchestra of Baden Württemberg and from 1985 – 1988 a member of the federal youth orchestra. While being engaged with many other orchestras as a soloist, Clemens Weigel also produced productions of CDs and recordings for various broadcast studios. He got many German and international prices and awards.

Since 1993 is Clemens Weigel a member of the "Gaertnerplatz Theater" in Munich, where he also belongs to the "Rodin Quartet Munich".
