Dietlind Mayer

Dietlind Mayer started her studies at the conservatory of Würzburg. She changed to Stuttgart in 2003, where she got her degree with distinction. In 2008 she finalised her studies of Baroque violin. In addition she studied chamber music taking part in many master classes, e.g. with the “Mandelring Quartett” and with Prof. Sergio Azzolini. She got a bursary of the conservatory Stuttgart and a scholarship of the academy of Ancient Music in Frankfurt.
Dietlind Mayer was a member of the German Youth Philharmony and played in various orchestras and chamber music ensembles. Performances with her are documented in many recordings. Her special interest is directed at authentic music on period instruments.
