Franz-Peter Fischer
baroque violin

Franz Peter Fischer studied violin in Munich and Düsseldorf. As concertmaster of the “Junge Deutsche Philharmonie” or Young German Philharmonic he traveled throughout Europe, performing under numerous renowned conductors, including Lorin Maazel and Daniel Barenboim.
During this period, Fischer had already started his studies on old instruments, namely the violins of the Baroque era. He performed with “Concentus Musicus Wien” under conductor Nicholas Harnoncourt and also with “Musica Antiqua Köln” conducted by Reinhard Goebel. Fischer has consequently become a sought after performer of Baroque-era music.
