Pauliina Tukiainen, piano

Pauliina Tukiainen studied piano in Finland and at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, where she received her diploma in 2006. She went on to study Lied interpretation with Hartmut Höll at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Zürich, finishing with diploma with honors in 2007.
She has participated in master classes and chamber music courses with Thomas Hampson, Christoph Prégardien, Mitsuko Shirai, Ilmo Ranta, Rainer Hoffmann, Emanuel Krasovsky, Marie-Luise Neunecker, Tabea Zimmermann and others.
During her early years as a student in Finland, she performed as a soloist with many finnish orchestras before devoting herself to Lied accompaniment and chamber music literature.
In recent years she has performed as an accompanist in recitals and singing competitions in Germany, Finland, Austria, India, Tunisia and Switzerland including Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Savonlinna Opera Festival, Residenz München, Liederhalle in Stuttgart and Oper Frankfurt.
Pauliina Tukiainen has received scholarships from the Finnish Culture Foundation and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation.
In 2007 she was awarded the second prize in the Kiwanis Lied competition in Zürich.
In 2006 Pauliina Tukiainen began working as an adjunct at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, coaching singers and instrumentalists.
